Applications have opened for the second edition of the Ed-Tech Fellowship Programme run by Co-Creation Hub (CcHub) and Mastercard Foundation in Nigeria.
Disrupt Africa reported in February 2023 CcHub had announced a new partnership with the Mastercard Foundation under the Mastercard Foundation Ed-Tech Fellowship Programme to launch a US$15 million ed-tech accelerator initiative in Kenya and Nigeria.
The fellowship provided initial support to 12 Nigerian startups in 2023, as well as 12 Kenyan companies, and intends to spread the support to 36 ed-tech companies within the next two years.
The Nigerian version of the fellowship is now in its second year, and it is looking for new innovations from startups who have ed-tech solutions that could change the way people learn from preschool to the workplace.
Startups must be Africa-focused and incorporated in Nigeria. Their solutions should address challenges across K-12, formal education, informal education, school management systems, tertiary education, corporate learning, and vocational skills training.
The 2024 cohort of fellows who go through the accelerator program will receive expert advisory, Coaching and mentoring, networking opportunities, and access to a pool of investors. They will also secure equity-free funding of US$100,000.
